Always on the lookout for cool tech news, I discovered today that MySpace is getting into the News business. Checkout the blog article on ZDNet discussing the new site. They mention that MySpace is becoming a Web 2.0 portal.
While we are talking about MySpace, did you know that the library is ordering the MySpace for Dummies book so that you can learn all of the ins and outs of MySpace. You can place a hold on the book so that when it comes in to the library, you will get a phone call when it is your turn on the list. Also, since you can have your own blog in MySpace, check out the books that we have on blogs.

What websites do you visit at least once per week? A recent article on the British Website Telegraph listed the following sites:
1. MySpace
2. Bebo
3. Facebook
4. Youtube
5. Vox
6. Kazaa
7. Last FM
8. Second Life
9. Piczo
10. Wikipedia
Wikipedia is one of my favorite sites. I like checking there first when I have a question on some topic.

Many of you go to the library to checkout your MySpace Accounts. MySpace has been undergoing some changes with what it will allow users to put on their page. Just recently, MySpace has stopped allowing widgets to be added to user's pages. The NYTimes Article discusses how some users are mad that they do not have the freedom to totally customize your page.
The other interesting thing I read was related to some hackers that will spend a month disclosing bugs in MySpace. Based on the PCWorld Article, there have been a number of instances where users have received SPAM or other vulnerabilities.
Have you been affected by any of the new restrictions? Have the security bugs affected you? Let us know......

Imagine a future where you can IM anyone just by thinking about it...No need to sit in front of a computer because you can shop, play games, listen to music, and instantly know the latest EVERYTHING!!
This sounded great to me at first, but then I read "Feed," by M.T. Anderson. In this book, a psychotic computer hacker causes serious damage to a group of teens hanging out on the moon by breaking into their "feeds" (brain computers). Life is never the same after that.
I highly recommend this book to technology buffs everywhere. Do YOU have any book recommendations for other teens? Tell us about it!
