The judges have spoken!

The winners of the Teenz Ink short story contest were announced!

The competition challenged Hillsborough County teens in grades 6-12 to write an original short story of 500-1000 words.  A panel of judges read each submission before they deliberated and selected the top stories for this year.  The winners each received a $100 gift card; and the runners-up received a $50 gift card.

Wrestlemania Reading Challenge local winners!

Check out the 3 lucky local winners of the 2009-2010 Wrestlemania Reading Challenge bookmark contest!  Not only did they win some cool WWE swag, they will represent the Tampa-Hillsborough County Libraries at the regional level contest... where the winners get a trip for 2 to Wrestlemania 26!

Need Some Money for College?

College Goal Sunday

Applying for college financial aid means filling out complicated applications. Attend College Goal Sunday for free assistance completing your financial aid application and start off on the right track toward paying for college! We will raffle 2 - $525 scholarships at this event. You only need to fill out the FASFA to qualify. This is a great way for high school seniors to get a start on paying for college.

Teen Talent Show @ SouthShore Regional Library

Think you've got an unusual, unique, or highly-skilled talent? Want to perform in front of people for a chance to win cash? Sign up for our Teen Talent Show! Single and group (up to 5 people) acts are welcome. Any type of talent accepted for judging... just keep it clean and under 5 minutes. Registration will be limited ot a maximum of 20 acts, so get your name in early. If you just want to watch the show, spectators are more than welcome.

2nd Place: $50.00
